CLEANSING TIPS
Cleansers are the foundation of our skincare routines and come in a vast array of textures and types, often incorporating different active ingredients to address a multitude of skincare concerns.
Choose the correct cleanser for your skin type and you've created the ultimate blank canvas upon which to apply subsequent skincare.
CLEANSING STEPS
1) WATER Ideally use lukewarm water. Water at this temperature will activate your facial cleanser to properly remove product build-up, dirt and grime on your skin whilst also protecting the skin’s natural oils.
2) CLEANSE See a cream-based cleanser on a damp, clean cloth remove any residual makeup and debris
3) TONE Remove any residue with a toner.
Make sure you don't ignore your neck or hairline; leaving out these parts can cause bacteria build-up and a break out of acne.
HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT CLEANSER FOR YOUR SKIN TYPE
Firstly, and most importantly, you need to make sure the cleanser you’re using is actually suitable for your skin type.
Non-foaming, fragrance-free gel or cream cleansers are most suited to dry, dehydrated and sensitive skin types.
Acne-prone skin types should avoid any oil-based formulas, while oily skins tend to tolerate foaming cleansers well.
